Embracing Limitations
For a photographer like me is hard to stay in my apartment, I enjoy nature and walking outside. But we are talking about a world wide pandemic, which led me to stay in my home and experimenting with new ways of seeing, and going back to one of my early passions Macro Photography.
What I like about the world of macro is that is all about composition, texture, color and light. It’s so interesting and aluring to just let yourself loose and explore the tiny world as a landscape, an intimate landscape.
My favorite subjects are, of course, from the natural world. Plants, flowers, fruits, vegetables and the fur of my dog. Now I’ve walked outside to the park in the last few weeks and I feel that I started to look everything with a fresh perspective, now I have a tendency to get close, look at the small details and my favorite places to go shoot have changed. I prefer moody black and white images, where the light plays with texture and detail.
In general I feel this could be a phase or I’m simply evolving into other areas of expression, here I leave you a small gallery showing a few shots to display my journey since this pandemic started.
